Apple Beer Poetry Page 5

A prince's coffers never held
Such quite delicous gold
As the Liquid kept within this mug
So bubbly, clear, and cold

Drain my plasma, take my blood
A kidney or an eye
But if you take my Apple Beer
You, my friend, must die

No ordinary stuff will do
We need a drink with soul
None of these honkey bev'rages
But Apple Beer's our goal

I slurp, I gasp, I slurp again
My entrails slowly grow
My bladder stretches with delight
Soon Apple Beer will flow

Apple Beer in a big mug
I think I'm going to cry
The mug, I know, will soon be drained
I'd really rather die

And when I die I'll find myself
In paradise's land
And I'll float naked through the clouds
With Apple Beer in hand

And when I'm finally dead and gone
Don't bury me at sea
But in a keg of Apple Beer
That's where I'd like to be

How shall I live without thy taste
Thou greatest Drink of drinks?
A life without my Apple Beer?
No life at all, methinks

Oh Apple Beer, when thou art gone
How sorely thou art missed
Without this dazzling Carbonate
I cannot long exist

Please, take my mother and my dad
My friends and all the rest
But leave me not, oh Apple Beer
For I do love thee best
